March 2017 Kid's Church

We all know what it’s like to repeat ourselves over and over when kids or people aren’t listening....We all know what it’s like to repeat ourselves over and over when kids or people aren’t listening. (See what we did there? 😉 ) But one saying that never gets old to hear repeatedly is, “you’re forgiven. God asks us to offer never-ending forgiveness because that’s what He’s done for us. And offering forgiveness takes practice. It can be hard to offer forgiveness at the end of a long day or after a fight, but when we don’t forgive we can miss out on what God has ready for us. Challenge yourself and your children to be eager to forgive.

We want to help with that. That's why this month we are learning in Kid's church about forgiveness: deciding that someone who has wronged you doesn't have to pay. Below you'll discover what we're talking about each week, and you'll also see a few downloadable resources that you can use to help continue the conversation at home with your kids. We hope you find this helpful!

  • March 5 - The Lost Sheep: God forgives you. Luke 15:1-7
  • March 12 - Lost Son: Everyone needs to be forgiven, even me. Luke 15:11-24
  • March 19 - Older Brother: When you don't forgive, you miss out. Luke 15:21-32
  • March 26 - 77 Times/Unmerciful Servant: Since God forgave you, you should forgive others. Matthew 18:21-35
