Philippians Week 4

Sharable notes for the November 2, 2025 message. You can post these notes on your social platform!

Scriptures used: Philippians 1:21, 27-30; 2:12-17
Scriptures referenced: Matthew 5:14-16; Numbers 15:1-10

  • Think about this statement and how you truly fill in the blank: "For me to live is ___________." The conduct of your life is what proclaims how you finish this sentence.

  • The person and purpose of Christ was the stable structure and foundation of Paul’s life. It should be of ours as well.

  • The conduct of your life reveals the creed of your life more than your words do.

  • We are not saved by what we do, we are saved by what Christ has done. It is our responsibility to mine our lives for all that God has deposited in us through his Holy Spirit since our salvation.

  • A life lived worthy of the gospel is one where my conduct is on scale with the character of Christ.

  • Grumbling and complaining is the antithesis of living a life worthy of the gospel. It covers the light we're called to shine.

  • When we live our lives for the Kingdom, in the power of the Kingdom, reflecting the values of the Kingdom then we will shine like a light in the darkness, and light transforms the darkness.

  • You can’t depend on someone else to make you godly, and you can’t blame others for your worldliness.

  • God doesn’t use us to shine his light in a dark world by taking us out of suffering, but rather by demonstrating his grace through us in the middle of it.
