Our enjoyment shouldn’t come at the expense of our generosity.
Don’t let any temporal thing you treasure become the passion of your heart.
To truly know Jesus we must immerse ourselves in His word, apply his word, live out his word, surround ourselves with the family of God, daily seek the presence of God and pray for the Holy Spirit to fill you daily.
How we face the struggles in life reveals Christ in us just as much as walking in his blessings does.
The purpose of Christ should be in all our pursuits.
If you have to press on that means that something is probably pressing against.
Have a conscious refusal to let your past absorb your attention and impede your progress.
Jesus’ invitation to us is to to be defined by His love, not be defeated by our past.
If our Spiritual enemy can’t stop us from putting our faith in Christ then he’ll make it his goal to get us to be ineffective in our faith by being inconsistent with our faith.
Forgetting and reaching was Paul’s pattern. It’s not about perfection it’s about direction, and direction not intention determines destination.
Stop pursuing things that never ultimately fulfill your life and start realizing Christ should be your true passion. This is maturity in Christ.
When a man gives himself to satisfy his own appetites apart from any restraint, he has made a god out of those appetites.
Surround yourself with people who ignite, share, catch and enjoy your passion in Christ, not with people who sap your passion. Have discernment in your relationships in order to grow in your discipleship.
