  • Followers of Christ must remained focused on the promises of Christ.

  • God has revealed enough about the future to give us hope, but not so much that we don't have to have faith.

  • Jesus Christ took our punishment upon himself. When we believe in and follow him as Lord then we receive his righteousness to cover our sin and that punishment. If anything wasn’t fair, it was that Christ in his innocence took the punishment for our sin.

  • In Christ, we all receive the greatest reward and that’s eternity with the Father in the presence of His Son in the new heaven and the new earth.

  • Don’t get so caught up in the beauty of this life that you miss the glory of the next.

  • In Heaven there awaits those who are followers of Christ a renewal of a new heaven and a new earth in new bodies. There is a reunion of an eternal family with our Heavenly Father. There is a release from all pain, heartache, sickness, sin and evil. There is a reward of paradise with our eternal King.

  • God's call to you is to come to him, and with the answer to that call comes another call to echo his call to come.

  • Stand strong in your faith and work passionately for the glory of Christ.

Reflect or meet with someone to discuss:

  • How has the handling of end times prophecy encouraged you and/or confused you?

  • Jesus' return is a key point of the message of the good news. Why do you think there is so much awkwardness around the discussion of his return?

  • According to Matthew 25, what distinguishes the righteous and the unrighteous when Jesus says they will be separated for eternity?

  • When you think about eternity, what comes to your mind?
