  • Christmas has a special message in it for those whose lives are not characterized by joy and triumph. Christmas carries a message of hope for those whose lives are filled with despair.

  • Jesus took our place so that we might receive peace.

  • God gets all the glory and gives us all the peace we need.

  • God is pleased when we receive and walk in the one who’s come to be our Savior and our Lord.

  • Peace isn’t found in the absence of problems, peace is found in the presence of God.

  • When we find peace in our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ we should share the good news of that experience with whomever we can.

  • God wants us to take his presence into our environments to reflect his peace.

  • Peace often feels like a dream. In Christ peace is a reality.

Reflect or meet with someone to discuss:

  • What is it about Christmas that brings you the most stress and unrest?

  • If you were to rate your level of peace at this moment in your life on a scale of 1-10, how would you rate it? Explain your answer.

  • How does it comfort you to know that God wants to bring peace to a world of despair?

  • What can you do to experience more of God's perfect peace?
