  • To submit one to another is to position yourself in a way to build up others for a good and proper purpose. We thrive through submission.

  • The more we worship God with wonder the more we serve Him with selflessness and submission.

  • Submission to one another means being willing to be transparent with one another. Submitting one to another means you are willing to be accountable to, belong to and cared for by someone.

  • Our submission to one another in love, honor and service is a way of making visible what God has done in our lives.

  • When we deny ourselves it doesn't just build up the self-esteem of others, it’s builds the Christ-esteem of the church.

Reflect or meet with someone to discuss:

  • Does it bother you when you meet people who have more "er" than you? (For example, richer, skinnier, smarter, etc) How does it make you feel and how do you handle it?

  • What thoughts and emotions come up when you hear the word submit?

  • What does it mean to you to submit one to another?

  • If part of submitting to one another means building up others and encouraging them towards a good purpose, what steps do you take to make that happen?

  • If part of submitting to one another means being willing to be transparent, accountable, and cared for by others, what steps do you take to make that happen?
