Scriptures used: Ephesians 6:17; James 1:14-16; Ephesians 4:22-23; Matthew 15:19; Romans 8:5-6; 12:2-3; 2 Corinthians 10:5; 1 Thessalonians 5:8-9; Lamentations 3:21-23; Philippians 4:6-9; Isaiah 26:3

  • Every action begins with a thought. We have to protect our mind to avoid deception and destruction.

  • We will face lies about God and lies about ourselves. These lies try to manipulate us, but truth is found in Christ.

  • We need more than a "right mind." We need a new mind, a righteous mind, in Christ Jesus.

  • We don't need a conformed mind, we need a transformed mind. That only comes in Christ.

  • When our thoughts seem hopeless, salvation always reminds us that there is hope, and that hope guards our mind in Jesus.

Reflect or meet with someone to discuss:

  • In what ways do you struggle with your thoughts?

  • Are the thoughts you struggle with more lies about God or lies about yourself?

  • How are those thoughts different than the truth we find in Christ?
