Scriptures used: Ephesians 6:17; James 1:14-16; Ephesians 4:22-23; Matthew 15:19; Romans 8:5-6; 12:2-3; 2 Corinthians 10:5; 1 Thessalonians 5:8-9; Lamentations 3:21-23; Philippians 4:6-9; Isaiah 26:3
Every action begins with a thought. We have to protect our mind to avoid deception and destruction.
We will face lies about God and lies about ourselves. These lies try to manipulate us, but truth is found in Christ.
We need more than a "right mind." We need a new mind, a righteous mind, in Christ Jesus.
We don't need a conformed mind, we need a transformed mind. That only comes in Christ.
When our thoughts seem hopeless, salvation always reminds us that there is hope, and that hope guards our mind in Jesus.
Reflect or meet with someone to discuss:
In what ways do you struggle with your thoughts?
Are the thoughts you struggle with more lies about God or lies about yourself?
How are those thoughts different than the truth we find in Christ?
