Key Theme #1 — The Bible is our roadmap
Prayer fuels the journey.
God's Word provides direction.
The Holy Spirit is our internal GPS.
Knowing Scripture is like knowing your daily route.
Reading isn't enough—we must obey what we read.
"Don't just know the map. Follow it."
Key Theme #2 — Jesus traveled with purpose
Jesus intentionally walked thousands of miles to reach people and consistently met people where they were.
Every destination had eternal purpose.
Followers of Jesus should be willing to "go the extra mile."
Application:
Don't wait for people to come to you. Look for opportunities in everyday places.
Key Theme #3 — Jesus chose Samaria on purpose
Major takeaway:
God values people over places.
Applications:
Don't avoid difficult people.
Don't avoid uncomfortable conversations.
Pursue reconciliation.
Key Theme #4 — The Beatitudes describe Kingdom living
Each blessing reveals what God's Kingdom values.
Poor in Spirit
Recognize your need for God. Dependence leads to God's Kingdom.
Those Who Mourn
God comforts hurting people.
Christians should mourn with others.
The Humble
Meekness is controlled strength.
Humility reflects Jesus.
Hunger for Righteousness
Desire God's justice more than personal revenge.
Christ ultimately satisfied justice through the cross.
The Merciful
Receive mercy by showing mercy.
Extend grace rather than retaliation.
The Pure in Heart
Purity allows us to see God.
Be salt and light.
The Peacemakers
Seek reconciliation.
Reflect the Father's heart.
The Persecuted
Following Jesus won't always be easy.
Eternal rewards outweigh temporary suffering.
Key Theme #5 — Build your life on Christ
Only lives built on Jesus withstand life's storms.
Key Takeaways
Initiate conversations with people.
Be intentional wherever you go.
Don't avoid difficult relationships.
Offer encouragement.
Be a peacemaker.
Leave people better than you found them.
Share your faith naturally.
Questions for reflection
What "detour" in my life might God actually be using for His purposes?
Who is one person I can intentionally encourage or invest in this week? What is one practical way I can be a "catalyst" for their faith?
When this week can I intentionally spend time in prayer and God's Word before beginning my day?
