  • “Keystone habits transform us by creating cultures that make clear the values that, in the heat of a difficult decision or a moment of uncertainty, we might otherwise forget.” Charles Duhigg - The Power of Habit

  • Your uncompromised convictions can bring change and open up doors of influence for you.

  • We may retire from vocations but we never retire from our devotion to God.

  • We have to be on our guard so that we are not misinformed, manipulated and deceived. Misinformation can lead to a wrong conclusion.

  • A habit of prayer can develop our character, fortify our convictions, strengthen our courage and embolden us not to conform.

  • When we pray, we release the power of God in situations where we are powerless to do anything, and we bring peace into moments of panic.

  • Everything in our life is worth our time in prayer over. Paul said prayer is what guards our heart and mind. When there’s nothing you think you can do, you can always pray.

  • To live in this world we have to have courage. This courage comes from a habit of prayer, and this courage can be contagious.

  • Don’t compromise your convictions. Stand with courage in them.

  • This world will never be a God forsaken world because God has not forsaken it.

  • Trust God. Do what’s right and leave the results to him. Be faithful and keep preparing the way for his return hoping that others will put their trust in him as well.

Reflect or meet with someone to discuss:

  • What's the craziest habit, or any habit, you have? Would you say you have a habit in your life that sets the pattern for how other things in your life go?

  • Would you consider prayer a habit in your life? Why or why not?

  • When you face chaotic circumstances are you more prone to panic, be paralyzed by fear, or pray? Why do you think that's your response?

  • How can a habit of prayer begin to strengthen the courage of your faith?
