  • Our purpose is to bear fruit, but how we define fruit is very important.

  • Fruit is something that is produced in us. Work is always of the flesh, but fruit is produced by the Spirit.

  • The Holy Spirit in you enables your heart to be responsive to God, and will empower you to follow and obey him.

  • Jesus and his Spirit empowers us to become what we cannot become on our own. We abide in him and his spirit produces through us.

  • The more we abide in him, the more we become like him.

  • Our gifts arise out of our fruit. The gift is never to bring notoriety to you, and neither is the fruit. The fruit that is being produced in us is to be wrapped with the gift that the Spirit wants to work through us.

  • Grace is opposed to earning, it’s not opposed to effort. Fruit does not come in my life through striving, but through abiding.

  • Nothing can replace God’s word in this life. We need his word and we need the Spirit to illuminate his word in our life.

  • How are you making time to abide in him by abiding in his word?

  • Wherever you are, whatever you’re going through, he is there and he is enough. This moment of difficulty is producing fruit in you and bringing glory to Him.

  • Joy is not a feeling to chase, it’s a person to know.
