  • Human tendency is to live for self and for what I’m building in my own life, instead of to live for others and what God wants to build through me.

  • When you love others you are loving God.

  • There is no room for celebrating sin in the body of Christ.

  • By seeing how Jesus emptied himself for us, we should be compelled to empty ourselves for one another.

  • We cannot take advantage of one another and we cannot allow ourselves to blend our culture with our faith. We are called to be different while at the same time loving others.

  • Sometimes obedience to God may mean speaking the truth in love.

Reflect or meet with someone to discuss:

  • Have you ever done something before that someone had to correct you on? How did you handle that as a child and even now if your older?

  • Why is it important to know what the word of God says about how we should live and what God considers sin?

  • Have you ever considered it a responsibility to confront sin in someone else's life that you know and love who says they are a follower of Christ? Is that easy or difficult for you? Why is that, and why do you think it's important?

In a world where sin is sugar-coated to make it seem easier to take part in, it’s refreshing to see the exchange between David and Nathan. Join us as we study what it looks like to confront sin with Truth and Grace.
