Treasured Vessels

bwccamden

There's so much in life that can bring discouragement: negative comments on social media, feelings that come from the magazines we read or the television shows we watch, the comparison traps we live in within our minds, so on and so on...

God doesn't desire for us to live in this trap. We are His creation and we are fearfully and wonderfully made! We would love to invite you to attend our next Treasured Vessels. This is a great time of encouragement for ladies to refocus their attention on who God says they are, not where culture would take us.

Our next Treasured Vessels will be October 20th at 6pm. We will be meeting in the Hub of the Education Building on BWC's campus. We'll start with some time to simply hang out and connect with each other, then we'll hear a powerful story of God's grace from Ashleigh Wieneke. Ashleigh is the daughter of our worship pastor, Pastor Brian, and a recent graduate of the University of South Carolina.

On October 6th from 5-8pm we will be having a Sunset Service on the Camden side of the Lake with special speaker Jenny Proctor. We will also have a special guest instructor & artist Lynne Bennett who will be helping us paint a beautiful sunset painting as a small reminder of our time together. There is no charge for the event, but we will be taking up a love offering for Women of Worth. We also ask that you bring a finger food.

Let us know you’re coming and we’ll send you directions!

"Everybody Always" Women's Bible Study

bwccamden

In this Bible study, bestselling author Bob Goff shares some of the stories from his life that have helped him understand what it truly means to love everybody the way Jesus loved them–without fear, insecurity, or restriction. Following Christ means more than just putting a toe in the water when it comes to loving others. It means grabbing your knees and doing a cannonball! And, as Jesus revealed, it means loving the difficult ones. Everybody, Always will provide practical steps to help you take that journey.

Sessions include:

1. Love People Where You Are
2. Catch People on the Bounce
3. Don’t Play It Safe
4. Look at What’s in Your Bucket
5. Love Even the Difficult People

The Everybody Always Bible Study will be meeting every other Thursday night from August 29th - November 7th at 6:30pm. The group will meet in Lugoff. We bring food, eat together, laugh together, cry together and grow together. If you are interested in participating, sign up below and we will send you more details, including location, book information, etc.

Secret Sisters

bwccamden

Secret Sisters is a ministry between you and another woman in our church family. The program is yearlong from March to February. You become her silent prayer partner and secret encourager for a year.  She does not know who you are, but she will know you are there praying for her and her needs.  The purpose of this ministry is to encourage, support, and edify other sisters in Christ, in addition to getting to know one another.

There are many ways of encouraging or letting your Secret Sister know you are thinking of her.  Some examples would be a nice card or a small gift.  Although there are no set guidelines as to how many times during this year to contact your Secret Sister, it is suggested that you contact her for her birthday and any other special occasions.  Please note that if you choose to send a gift, use modesty in regards to the amount of the gift.  At the end of the year, there is a small get together to reveal Secret Sisters.

Secret Sister enrollment is closed for this year but will reopen at the beginning of 2020.
