Treasured Vessels on October 28th!

There's so much in life that can bring discouragement: negative comments on social media, feelings that come from the magazines we read or the television shows we watch, the comparison traps we live in within our minds, so on and so on...

God doesn't desire for us to live in this trap. We are His creation and we are fearfully and wonderfully made! We would love to invite you to attend our next Treasured Vessels. This is a great time of encouragement for ladies to refocus their attention on who God says they are, not where culture would take us.

Treasured Vessels will be on October 28th at 6pm. We will be meeting in the Hub of the Education Building on BWC's campus. We'll start with some time to simply hang out and connect with each other, then we'll hear a powerful story of God's grace from one of our own ladies here at BWC.

Join us October 28th at 6pm!

"Just Open the Door" Women's Bible Study

For many of us, inviting people into our lives and homes feels more like inviting judgment on our entertaining skills and stress on our already maxed-out schedules. But what if you knew that opening your front door had the power to radically change the world? To make an impact and leave a legacy with everyday invitations?

Jen Schmidt has set out to reframe how we think about hospitality and to equip us to walk a road of welcome in our daily lives. Jen knows that every time we choose open-door living—whether in our homes or by taking hospitality on the road just like Jesus—those we invite in get to experience the lived-out Gospel, our kids grow up in a life-lab of generosity, and we trade insecurity for connection.

Just Open the Door is a personal yes-you-can guide to offering the life-changing gift of invitation. Whether you’re a seasoned host looking for renewed inspiration or a nervous newbie not sure where to begin, these personal stories, practical ideas, and poignant insights will give you the confidence you need to see your home as the most likely location for changing the world around you, one open door at a time.

The Just Open Your Bible Study will be meeting every other Thursday night from August 30th - December 6th at 6:30pm. (We will skip Thanksgiving). The group will meet in the Hub here at the church. We bring food, eat together, laugh together, cry together and grow together. If you are interested in participating, sign up below and we will send you more details.

Chix Mix - Girl's Night Out

Chix Mix - %22Girls Night Out%22.png

Ladies, Chix mix is making it a girl's night out! We've purchased some tickets in advance and extra tickets are not guaranteed, so you'll need to sign up and pay ASAP to reserve your spot! We're heading to Sandhills for dinner and a movie on August 13th. We'll be meeting at Five guys at 6pm and then heading over to the movie.

The movie is a Fathom Live event. Rachel Hollis is taking the audience on an inside look at chasing the biggest of dreams.  Rachel Hollis’ belief that she’s here to change the world will inspire you to believe you can do the same. It’s that belief that had her start a live event series where women who don’t look the same, vote the same or act the same come together to be inspired, supported and enveloped in community. Believing you’re enough, that you can chase the biggest dreams – they’re all tackled in the documentary capturing the conquering of Rachel’s own fears.

This is a great opportunity to build relationships with other ladies in the church, and for you to invite someone to meet other ladies..

Register below to attend. Registration will be open until tickets are sold out. Tickets for the movie are $15.75.  If you prefer to pay at the church you may, but your spot is not reserved until your money is paid.

The guaranteed amount of tickets have been sold. If you are still interested, message us through the form below and we will see if we can access more.

Secret Sisters

Secret Sisters is a ministry between you and another woman in our church family. The program is yearlong from March to February. You become her silent prayer partner and secret encourager for a year.  She does not know who you are, but she will know you are there praying for her and her needs.  The purpose of this ministry is to encourage, support, and edify other sisters in Christ, in addition to getting to know one another.

There are many ways of encouraging or letting your Secret Sister know you are thinking of her.  Some examples would be a nice card or a small gift.  Although there are no set guidelines as to how many times during this year to contact your Secret Sister, it is suggested that you contact her for her birthday and any other special occasions.  Please note that if you choose to send a gift, use modesty in regards to the amount of the gift.  At the end of the year, there is a small get together to reveal Secret Sisters.

Secret Sister enrollment is closed for this year but will reopen at the beginning of 2019.

Women of Worth Conference

Fall Conference
September 10th
Free Event

There will be a love offering received during the conference

Please RSVP by clicking here

Grab a friend and join us for a morning together as we worship, fellowship, and revive our hearts with our special guest Denise Hildreth Jones. This is a FREE event, but we would like to know how many will be attending as there will be a light brunch provided. So please follow this link to register for free and RSVP.

Denise Hildreth’s novels have moved her readers to tears and laughter as they stay up all night just to finish the last page. “I’m just a southern girl from South Carolina who knows crazy people, the south, and rigged beauty pageants. So, I thought I’d write a book about them. I didn’t even know I could write fiction. Come to find out people have fallen in love with that crazy Savannah from Savannah and I’ve fallen in love with telling stories.”

*We have limited spots available for childcare during this event (ages 1-8 years old). This is for those that can not or do not have childcare capability. They will be available first come first serve. Make sure to let us know when registering.
