Scriptures used: Philippians 4:10-23
Scriptures referenced: Acts 17; Mark 4:19
Our contentment comes from being completely dependent on the Spirit of God in us.
Growing in our faith is learning to rely completely on Christ which in turns allows us to grow in contentment.
God is fully able to change our circumstances but he is much more interested in changing us.
I can do all things in the context of the will of Christ for my life. Whatever Christ has for you to do, He will provide what you need to do it.
Chaos can be all around you but it doesn’t have to be in you.
The potency of the word of God is never the problem. The problem is what we allow to grow in the soil of our heart around the word.
Contentment is wanting more of what God wants and nothing of what God doesn’t want for you. Discontentment comes whenever you start chasing the things that God never meant for you to have.
God uses Godly ambition in us to do incredible things through us.
Contentment expresses itself in gratitude and generosity.
Grumbling and greed is a roadblock to contentment but gratitude and generosity is the gateway to joy.
