  • God's promises are not casual, hopeful good thoughts, they are a covenant to us.

  • God’s covenant to Abraham was not just talking about the great nation of ancient Israel, but the ultimate promise of the covenant was Jesus.

  • In Christ, we have been Spirit empowered to go forth to anyone we can and share the good news of what Christ has done for us.

  • Too often, instead of seeing what we gain in Christ, we look at what we're losing, and we let that keep us from what Christ has for us.

  • Jesus doesn't come into your life to bring behavior modification. Jesus wants to make you new!

  • Why do we try to blend the gospel rather than seeking to live the gospel? Why do we want to make it in our image rather than let him transform us into a reflection of him? We do this when we put things in front of who we are in Christ – race, nationality, doctrinally, experientially. When we identify in this way we are modifying Jesus rather than being modified by Him.

Do you believe that your blessings from God are a reflection of your obedience? This is Old Covenant Living. New Covenant Christianity is about the Holy Spirit guiding and directing us into the life He has for us. In this 5-day reading plan, Pete Briscoe explains New Covenant living and how we can experience God’s promises, the Holy Spirit, and God’s grace while living a life blessed by Him.
