Scriptures used: Ephesians 1:3-14; 1 Corinthians 15:57; 2 Peter 3:9; 1 Corinthians 15:22, 45-47; John 15:5

  • Jesus chose you and died for you to choose Him.

  • We are born in sin but we can be born again to a new life in Christ.

  • In Christ you can indeed change, not in your own strength or might, but in His power.

  • When you want to define yourself by your past, remember the old has gone and the new has come in Christ.

  • Jesus chose you when He went to the cross.

Reflect:

  • In what ways do you allow yourself to be identified?

  • Do these identities line up with who you are in Christ?

  • What do you think it means to abide in Christ?

  • What do you do to keep yourself in Christ?

Obtain is a verb - It implies action. So we are going to put some action into obtaining God’s truth and storing it in our hearts. How? Through reading God’s Word in daily nourishment portions. This study is a perfect way to begin to grow in your understanding of what you now have in Christ Jesus and renew your mind to become more like Him!
