Scriptures used: Matthew 28:6; Luke 24:6; John 20:11-16; 1 Peter 5:7; 1 Thessalonians 4:13; John 20:19-20; 1 John 4:18; John 20:25; John 20:26-29

  • Jesus transformed a cross into a place of salvation. He transformed a tomb into a place of hope and a place of life. He can transform your life.

  • No matter where you come from, no matter what you are facing, if you are in Jesus there is always Hope.

  • Jesus can meet us in our darkest place and shine His light in our darkness.

  • Jesus will replace your fear with faith and you can have peace in Him.

  • Jesus is not afraid of your doubt. If you seek Him you will find Him.

  • Jesus promises life and life more abundant. He promises to give our life purpose. Jesus can bring resurrection life into your grief, your fear, and your doubt. You can find hope in Him.

Reflect:

  • Are there thoughts of hopelessness that you struggle with? Express those thoughts to Jesus.

  • What fears do you face and need Jesus to give you faith to confront them?

  • What kind of doubts do you wrestle with?

  • Begin to pray that God will help you in these areas of grief, fear and doubt.

In every stage of life and the human experience, there is the One who understands what we are going through. We are not alone and suffering is not some sort of vague part of life. In the midst of suffering, we gain a greater understanding of what Christ did for us - No matter how dark things may seem, no matter how difficult things may seem, He is with us. Join Matt Maher as he takes you inside some of his songs that reflect upon the death and resurrection of Jesus.
