24 hours

bwccamden

No single event in human history has received more attention than the suffering and crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth. In this journey, author Adam Hamilton guides us through the last twenty-four hours of Jesus' life. Each week is designed to help the reader experience and understand the significance of Jesus' suffering and death in a way you have never done before. Whether you are a long-time Christian or simply curious about the story of Christ's crucifixion, you are invited to join this study in retracing the last 24 hours of Jesus' life.

Space is limited so complete the sign up below today! The group meets in Camden on alternating Sundays from 3-5 pm.

Join Lou and Becky Walker as they look forward to studying God's Word with you.

Upon signing up you will receive information about the location and dates of the group.

Prayer Covering Group

bwccamden

Our Prayer Covering Group creates an opportunity for those participating to build encouraging relationships with one another, teach intercessory prayer, and be an outreach of BWC to the community and beyond. It goes beyond being a group to being a ministry.

We use our time to crochet, knit, and/or quilt lap size coverings for anyone, regardless of age, who may have a need. There may be a need such as a loss of spouse, sibling or child, medical issues such as cancer, sickness, long-term illness, surgery, etc. We also have begun making scarves for the homeless to have during the cold winter months.

Wherever a need may be that someone could benefit from knowing they are covered in prayer, our group will respond. As we create these coverings, we pray for the future recipient.

There are no expectations as far as time you are required to commit.  You do it as it fits your schedule.  Sometimes we have people who make a covering or two a week and others who complete one every few months or per year.

We would love to have anyone who has a desire to pray on behalf of others, loves to crochet, knit, and/or quilt, and has time to give. If you are interested please fill out the form below.  We will supply all materials. If you want to participate and do not know how to crochet, we are willing to teach you!

Stories shared...
  • A father of someone in our church family was having health issues that would cause them to have extreme pain. He was only getting sleep for about 60-90 minutes at a time. One night while having trouble sleeping, his wife covered him with the prayer blanket he had received from our group. He immediately fell asleep and slept for 4 1/2 hours.
There's nothing magical about the blanket, but the prayers that have been prayed for the individual and that are covering him brought comfort.

Ten Questions Christians Are Asking

bwccamden

Francis Bacon said, “A prudent question is one half of wisdom." From that thought, and in this study, David Jeremiah takes us through questions many people may ask when journeying through faith.

David Jeremiah states, "Much of my life has been seeking out answers for life from the Word of God, first to satisfy my own mind and heart, and then to meet the needs of others. Throughout my years of ministry, I have found I feel closest to people’s needs when I’m dealing with their most heartfelt questions. Yes, I love to make statements and preach sermons; but I never want to disregard those sincere questions that embody our search for meaning. Questions are the inquiries of curious minds and the entreaties of wondering souls. Where there are question marks in our minds and spirits, we need the truths and promises of Scripture."

This study starts October 7.
